Privacy Policy
The Imino application is a dedicated Parental Control tool designed with the goal of enhancing children’s digital safety. In accordance with Google’s security policies, this application displays an unremovable Persistent Notification to the device user (the child) at all times while active, ensuring that parental monitoring is completely transparent, lawful, and conscious.
Contents of This Document
This document contains an explanation of the private information that Imino collects from users of the website and application, as well as how Imino uses this information. This includes user-specific data that can be used to uniquely identify Imino users. Examples include children’s names, phone numbers, and other information not ordinarily available to the general public.
This document does not apply to matters outside of Imino’s possession and control. Client companies of Imino’s services, third-party individuals not employed by Imino, and information registered in the user’s domain name Whois are among these matters.
Collected Information and How It Is Used
By registering and submitting your mobile phone number on the Imino website, you provide Imino with private information such as your children’s names, contact numbers, and more.
- After logging into the Imino application, you are no longer an anonymous user, and information regarding your use of Imino’s services is retained, albeit for a limited time.
- App Lists: Imino maintains a list of installed applications solely for the purpose of managing children’s usage time (Screen Time) and blocking unauthorized applications.
- Device Identifiers: We prioritize children’s privacy. This application absolutely does not collect permanent and unalterable device identifiers such as IMEI, IMSI, or hardware serial numbers. To legitimately identify the child’s device within the parent console, only secure and resettable identifiers are used.
- Upon accessing the Imino website, Imino automatically collects and retains information such as your IP address, Imino cookie data, and the pages you visit. Imino uses this information for certain purposes, such as improving Imino’s services and providing appropriate content.
- Sensitive Data: Any access to location or Accessibility services is executed only with the explicit consent of the parent or device owner during the setup process, and strictly for protective purposes and to prevent unauthorized uninstallation of the Imino parental control app by the child.
- Call Monitoring and Communication Security: To ensure the child’s safety against suspicious or malicious contacts, Imino accesses the call logs (specifically for new, ongoing calls, not historical data) upon the explicit consent of the parents during the setup process. This information is used solely to provide reports to the parents within the management panel. In accordance with our data minimization policy, all such records are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers within 7 days. We are committed to never sharing this data with any third-party individuals or companies.
No Sharing with Third Parties
Imino does not rent, sell, or share your information. We explicitly state that no children’s data is collected for advertising, marketing, or commercial behavioral analysis purposes, nor is it shared with any advertising agencies or third-party companies, except in the following cases:
- In the event of Imino merging with another company. In this scenario, before your information is shared, you will be notified and asked for your decision regarding continuing to use Imino’s services or a complete opt-out.
- In the event of your violation of the terms and conditions of the services, and if there is a private complainant regarding your actions, your information will be provided to legal authorities.
- If judicial authorities request your information from Imino for any reason, this information will be provided to them.
Imino may store cookies on your computer and use them during your subsequent visits to the Imino website.
Data Retention Period and Automatic Deletion (Data Minimization)
In accordance with the “Data Minimization” policy, all collected monitoring data (such as location reports or app lists) is stored for a period of only 3 to 7 days to provide reports to parents. After this period, it is automatically and permanently deleted from our servers and will not be accessible, even for judicial authorities.
Optional Permissions and Feature-Based Access
Imino operates on the principle of “Minimum Scope,” meaning all sensitive permissions are strictly optional. These permissions are requested from the parent or device owner only if the corresponding safety feature is manually activated within the Imino Parental Dashboard. If a parent chooses not to use a specific feature, no related permissions will be requested, and no associated data will be collected.
Features requiring specific permissions include:
- Call Management & Dedicated Dialer: This feature is designed to protect children from unknown callers and potential phone harassment. Access to call-related permissions is used exclusively to identify and safe incoming calls based on the “Approved Contact List” configured by parents.
- Secure Child Gallery: To protect parental privacy and ensure children only view age-appropriate media, Imino allows parents to curate a specific set of photos and videos. This access is used solely to enable parents to select and display permitted content within the child’s isolated environment.
- Location Monitoring for Physical Safety: GPS and location access are used exclusively to display the child’s real-time location to parents and prevent them from getting lost in outdoor environments. Imino commits that location data is never used for advertising, commercial profiling, or shared with third-party data brokers.
- Screen Time & App Limits: To manage daily usage limits and enforce restrictions on incompatible apps, Imino utilizes system-level permissions (such as Accessibility). This ensures that the device follows the schedule set by parents and prevents unauthorized app usage during restricted hours.
- Dedicated Child Launcher: To create a secure and isolated digital sandbox, Imino requires launcher-related permissions. This prevents children from accidentally exiting the child mode and accessing sensitive parental data or system settings.
- Safe Browsing: Imino utilizes the Virtual Private Network API strictly to manage internet traffic and block unauthorized or harmful websites. This tool empowers parents to ensure their child only accesses safe, pre-approved web content.
Right to Delete User Account and All Data (Data Deletion)
Parents have the right to request the complete deletion of their data at any time. We have provided a transparent “Delete Account” option within the application. By activating this option, all parent account information and all data related to the child will be instantly and permanently deleted from all our databases.
Access Restrictions and Transmission Security
Imino has restricted its employees’ access to your information. All sensitive data is transmitted to our private servers using modern encryption protocols (HTTPS) to guarantee its security during transit.
Editing and Changing Personal Information
You can modify your registered information on the Imino website. This includes all the information you entered in the Imino application during registration, except for identity verification data crucial for account security, such as the mobile phone number.
Changes to These Policies
Imino reserves the right to make changes to the text of this policy at any time without prior notice. Although attempts will be made to inform all users of changes via messages in Imino’s notification channels, users are obligated to continuously refer to this text to stay informed of any changes. If they disagree with the changes, they must request the termination of their service or leave the Imino website and cease using it. Otherwise, all potential consequences will be the responsibility of the users.
